McCrory has issued an executive order in an attempt to address the concerns of the bill’s opponents. Just this week, Senate leaders floated the idea of putting the issue in voters’ hands, suggesting steps toward holding a referendum vote on H.B.2 may be taken in the Senate in coming weeks.
McCrory also made national headlines this week after rejecting President Barack Obama’s call to lift sanctions on terror sponsor Iran.
“Under President Obama’s questionable Iran deal, billions have already been paid or released to Iran’s regime with little to show for it,”said Governor McCrory. “So long as I am governor, North Carolina will not subsidize a regime which remains the world’s lead sponsor of terrorism. It’s time for Washington, D.C. to put the safety, security and best interests of North Carolinians and Americans first.”
The Kelly File airs at 9:00PM ET. McCrory is scheduled to appear at approximately 9:40PM ET.
