RALEIGH – Governor Pat McCrory announced that Rick Brajer will lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Secretary Brajer takes over the reigns of the state’s largest agency from Aldona Wos, who served as McCrory’s first HHS Secretary.
Brajer is a seasoned healthcare industry veteran and previously lead ProNerve, LLC, a healthcare services company focused on emergency care. Brajer holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Brajer is no stranger to the Raleigh area having spent a decade in Raleigh as CEO of LipoScience, Inc., another heathcare industry company. He has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare services industry.
