N.C. GOP hires Kara Carter as press secretary

NCGOP-LogoRALEIGH – The North Carolina Republican Party has hired Kara Carter, a GOP communications veteran, as its press secretary.  Party Executive Director Todd Poole said that Carter, a Greensboro native and UNC Greensboro graduate, has worked for a communications and public affairs firm in the Washington, D.C. area and the Republican National Committee.

“As we prepare for 2016, it is imperative we build a team that can help our Republican candidates succeed in North Carolina,” said Poole. “Kara’s connection to North Carolina and her experience in policy and political communications makes her a strong addition to our team.”

Carter is already on the job and says she is happy be home in North Carolina and is looking “forward to helping the Republican Party continue its success across the state this election cycle.”
