RALEIGH — Facing a close of business Monday deadline given by the U.S. Department of Justice over the controversial H.B.2, Gov. McCrory has filed suit against the Department of Justice.

In an interview on Sunday, McCrory said his administration was exploring every legal option available to them and lamented the mere three business-day window the State was given to respond to the Obama administration’s threat over purported violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

McCrory is scheduled to hold a press conference on the matter at the Executive Mansion at 1:00PM.  This story will be updated throughout the day as more information becomes available.
