Poole comments on resignation from N.C. GOP

Todd Poole, executive director of the N.C. GOP announced today that he is resigning from his post at the state Republican Party.

“This absolutely was voluntary. I have very strong support of the members of the Central Committee,” said Poole. “Today I’ve heard from members who were disappointed but understood my decision.”

Poole has been commuting from Winston-Salem since joining the N.C. GOP under former Chairman Claude Pope more than two years ago. He has one small child.

“I’m looking forward to being home with my family and not traveling as much in my next position,” he said.
